To all of you connected to the OandP-List:

A good old friend of mine, who has just finished a limited 3-year contract

with Permobil the Swedish manufacturer of high quality wheelchairs, has

asked me to post a short resume and let all of you know that he is looking

for a new job in the US. He is a precision/mechanical engineer by education

and by heart and a most pleasant person to work with. Some of you do

probably know him.

Please let me know if you find the following abbreviated resume interesting

and if you have a job available in the near to medium future.

I will contact Maciej, who is just between a former household in Sweden and

an interim household in Poland.

1982:Designing the LETOR orthosis for paraplegia (follow-up

testing, 0-series, manufacturing; polish patent, design

1985:Bert Engman Stipendium from Permobil AB /Timrå/Sweden:

Designing the wheelchair for 2-3 years old children

(prototype, software specification, forms, testing).

1986:Licence for LETOR system sold to Svensk

1988:Assistance in developing local versions of LETOR.

1989: Member of International Scientific Commitee at World Congress of

ISPO in Kobe / Japan.

1989-1991: Consultant Biomedical Engineer at Rehabilitation

Hospital Project in Abu Dhabi / United Arab Emirates

(inspection, coordination, specification of bio-med-reh

equipment, tender).

1995-1997: At Department of Mechanical Development of Permobil AB in

Timrå / Sweden:

Concept of hybrid tie-down for electric wheelchairs

(prototype, testing, documentation, 0-series).

All-function motorized seat for critically low electric

wheelchair for driving minivans (prototype).

Concept of all-weather swinging seat for electric

wheelchair (prototype).

Modifications in manual wheelchairs made in USA to improve

the function and match with ISO and with requirements for

Scandinavia (prototypes, testing, 0-series, documentation).

Concept of self-adaptive backrest for wheelchair seats
