Popliteal artery occlusion

Bryan King

List members:Does anyone have any transtibial patient experiences with popliteal artery occlusion? I have a transtibial friend who is dealing with this issue. He has no history of vascular disease, 60 years old, and active. He initially experienced symptoms of pain, redness, swelling from the issue when riding his bike. He is now looking at having a stent inserted as treatment. Just wondering if this issue would now contraindicate suction or EV suspension where there is a tight compressive sleeve around the knee under suction or vac. He has been in suction for approximately 10 years. Would a pin with perhaps an auxillary cuff strap be safer?? Is it likely the suction or EV suspension would have no negative impact on this issue?? Thanks for any responses.
