Hanger Ventures issued a public call for investment proposal submissions that provide clinical and technical solutions and strengthen critical elements of care and practice management. The organization seeks to invest in entrepreneurs, small businesses, industry partners, and academic teams developing impactful technologies and care models. Priority consideration will be given to proposals submitted on or before April 30, with second round reviews for promising applicants to be held in May.
Priority will be given to projects in the following areas:
- Residual limb and socket interface
- Non-invasive management of pain in individuals with limb loss and limb difference
- Clinical application of a powered orthosis, including performance-enhancement applications
Hanger Ventures intends to invest in up to five groups this year. In addition to making a fiscal investment of up to $100,000 in any group, Hanger Ventures seeks strategic partnerships and would provide in-kind investments that allow access to a variety of clinical, technical, operational, and commercial support services.
Projects advancing to second round review will be invited to engage directly with the Hanger Ventures Investment Committee to explore partnership and support pathways.
Submissions should demonstrate clear potential to advance clinical care, improve patient experience, or introduce meaningful technical innovation within O&P. Each proposal must include the scope of work, budget and requested investment, project timeline and goal, and the plans for commercialization.
