OPAF and The First Clinics, serving as the philanthropic arm of the O&P community, has begun its annual search for volunteers to serve on its board of directors. The seven-member board is self-nominating.
Board members serve a two-year term and are required to attend at least one of two face-to-face or virtual board meetings, normally held in conjunction with the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association National Assembly and the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium.
Additionally, directors are expected to be vitally involved in the ongoing work of OPAF and The First Clinics with adaptive recreation and to take an active role with all fundraising efforts.
