Since Easter Sunday was barely in the rearview mirror, and a lot of people were likely still consuming chocolate eggs and bunnies, we wanted to know what type of chocolate our followers enjoy most. Of those who responded, 43 percent said Lindt; 38 percent said Ghirardelli; and 19 percent said their favorite chocolate was Godiva. (If you’re like this writer, you’re not a big chocolate eater, but if you consume any at all, it’d have to be dark chocolate and it really doesn’t matter the type.)
Now that Health and Human Services has issued a proposal to eliminate the NLLRC, the stakes couldn’t be any higher for the limb-loss and limb difference community. Last week’s poll focused on what our followers thought of the department’s suggestion to nix the NLLRC.
Our question was what O&P professionals and patients can do to show their support for the NLLRC? Of those who responded, 86 percent said they should call their legislators and strongly oppose the idea; seven percent said attending events related to the NLLRC’s cause would help, and seven percent suggested volunteering with a related support group.
And since Sunday is Mother’s Day, we couldn’t help asking what our followers are going to do for mom on her special day. So far, it’s even for three responses: calling her, giving her flowers and a card, and taking mom out to eat.
Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
