Good Day Pharmacy, Loveland, Colorado, earned the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Innovation Center Excellence (NICE) Award for its Good Day Breast Care Center that provides breast prostheses for mastectomy patients. The award was in Best Customer Convenience Improvement, a new category created to acknowledge pharmacies for their efforts to enhance their value and better serve their communities.
The Breast Care Center opened in October 2014 after the pharmacy conducted a competitive analysis of its service area and found that women who needed post-mastectomy prostheses were underserved in the area. Since then, the center’s certified fitters have assisted more than 120 women from Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, and Nebraska.
