Beth Durham, CPO, Pedorthist, CMF, has accepted the position of manager at the Heber Springs, Arkansas office of Spears Prosthetics and Orthotics. Durham has many accomplishments including serving as secretary of the board of directors for the Board of Certification/BOC. She has recently left her position as director of Arkansas Childrens Hospitals' Prosthetics and Orthotics Department. She is also the former president of Hale Prosthetics in southwest Missouri. Durham has a masters degree from Central Arkansas University and Arkansas State University respectively. She has the unique distinction of being the first female prosthetist to have been certified by the BOC. She attended both Shelby State in Memphis, Tennessee and Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, for both her orthotics and prosthetics post-graduate training. "Beth has both the people skills and hand skills that make for a great practitioner. She is the missing piece of the puzzle for our company and she will make a great addition to our practice," said M. Britt Spears CPO, president of Spears Prosthetics and Orthotics. "We're a relatively young company and we need someone with the wealth of knowledge and energy that she brings to the table," said Norman E. Wilcox, director of O&P operations.
