The US House of Representatives approved the Fiscal Year 2006
Defense Appropriations Conference Report, which provides the
military with funding and tools to defend the country and continue
fighting the global war on terror. The bill, which passed by a wide
bipartisan margin of 308-106 and calls for $403.3 billion in
overall defense spending, includes an additional $50 billion for
military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the global war on
terror.
