The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) Annual Meeting clinical content committee has issued a call for abstracts of presentations and posters to be presented at the 39th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium to be held February 20-23, 2013, in Orlando, Florida.
The Academy invites abstract submissions in the following categories:
- Thranhardt Lectures: Present the clinical, research, statistical analysis, results, and conclusions of an abstract.
- Free Papers: Offer solutions to common problems, patient and practice management techniques, innovative uses of technology, or current research findings.
- Poster Presentations: Provide an overview of a clinically relevant subject, such as a case study, critical review of literature, or conclusions from a new technique.
The clinical content committee will review all abstracts as potential Thranhardt Lectures, unless the author indicates otherwise on the submission form. The committee will select the 2013 Thranhardt finalists and Free Paper presentations.
Abstracts must adopt the introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion (IMRD) format; must include a one-page abstract of no more than 800 words; and must be submitted online using the submission template. Poster presentations submission guidelines are available at www.oandp.org/meeting2013/abstracts_posters.asp. The poster submission deadline is September 30.
