RSLSteeper, Rochester, England, has been awarded the New Mechanical Product of the Year for its bebionic small prosthetic hand by the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEA).
The BEEAs were held October 29 in London. Martin Wallace, RSLSteeper’s senior design engineer accepted the award, which was presented by judging panel member, Philippa Oldham from the Institution of Mechanical Engineering.
“The bebionic small robotic hand is an engineering success which is making a positive improvement to the lives of people who have suffered serious upper-limb trauma,” according to the judges.
