Just looking to see if anyone can help me out. I’ve have patient who has a
case of shingles break out on her residual limb. She has been wearing
current suction socket for @ 3 year with no discomfort or fit/irritation
issues. She is retired, and quite active. I should also mention that she
mentioned having had shingles in the past (prior to amputation which was @ 6
years ago. Her original outbreaks were “minor” and did not last long. She
cannot wear her current socket for more than 1/2 hour before and outbreak
develops. The socket interface is Seaflex 200. She practices sound hygiene.
Any one have any thoughts. Thank you. Mike N.
