Hello all,
I have been asked to evaluate and reccomend Rx for a male AK patient about 5′
tall weighing 135 lbs with a very short residual limb ( 2/34 in. femur).
Although he is small he is very active and demanding, especially concerning
durability. He has tried Pneumatic and SNS knees which were rejected. He
currently wears a Hosmer Dupaco in an OWW wood exo frame. Endoskeletal
components are not an option due to his work environment and preferences. His
question to me; is there a “better” or more durable hydraulic unit or
exoskeletal knee frame. I don’t know of any but would like your suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
