Good afternoon, Listserv.
I have received a couple of requests for medical records for prepay review
from Humana. Received a call from a rep from Humana this morning asking for
status (hasn’t even been 10 days since I got the request-I was out of the
office). Caller ID showed call from Humana. Then I got a call this
afternoon from a rep stating she was calling from Humana to check status of
request for records. The interesting part is that the caller ID showed the
call was coming from Performant.
Just curious to know if any of you have experienced the same issue? I
understand that Performant does the Medicare RAC Audits, but the letters are
always address from Performant.
Is Performant able to address themselves as Humana if they are auditing on
Humana’s behalf?
