The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2023 durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS) Medicare fee schedule with an increase of 8.7 percent. This is larger than any annual Medicare increase in several decades.
The increase is based on a 9.1 percent annual change to the Consumer Pricing Index for all urban areas from June 2021 to June 2022 and adjusted by an annual productivity adjustment or total factor productivity rate of 0.4 percent.
