The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy), has appointed three new members to the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JPO) editorial board, joining editor-in-chief Steven A. Gard, PhD, and nine other board members.
Kristie Bjornson, PT, PhD, MS; Goeran Fiedler, PhD; and John R. Fisk, MD, recently accepted appointments to join the board.
Bjornson
Bjornson is an associate professor, developmental medicine, pediatrics at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Institute. Fiedler is an assistant professor for the Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics (MSPO) program at the University of Pittsburgh. Fisk is chairman of the board of Exceed-Worldwide, formerly known as the Cambodia Trust, which has established five O&P schools in Southeast Asia. He is also professor emeritus at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
The Academy has published the JPO for more than 30 years.
