The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) hired Rachel Sparks as its new community engagement specialist.
In this role, Sparks will be supporting the Academy’s mission to advance the O&P profession through education, advocacy, and collaboration, in addition to helping to build an inclusive, engaging space for members and volunteers through its community platform, Academy Exchange.
Most recently, Sparks was the community coordinator for Purpose Brands, which provides fitness, nutrition and wellness support and services to communities worldwide.
