The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) launched the O&P profession’s first-ever evidence database, O&P IQ. The database can be used by Academy members to find answers to clinical questions and support clinical decisions. Search strategies are based on body segments, L-Codes, and categories of evidence.
“Orthotic and prosthetic patient care is expanding with new technology, interventions, and patient populations,” said Kate Allyn, CPO/LPO, FAAOP, Academy president. “Evidence-based research is the gold standard for providing the best patient care, and demand continues to grow for comprehensive access to such resources.”
