The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) announced the appointment of Fanny Schultea, MS, MSEd, CPO, LP, FAAOP, as the curator-in-chief of its evidence database, O&P IQ. Schultea, an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, will begin her two-year term on December 1.
The curator-in-chief’s primary focus is to manage and ensure the accuracy of the O&P IQ database and curation process.
“Evidence-based practice and defining success in patient outcomes are only possible if we bridge the gap between the research space and clinical practice. O&P IQ will become a critical part of this feedback loop, working in concert with other AAOP initiatives supporting clinical process improvement,” said Schultea.
