Allard USA, Rockaway, New Jersey, has named Justina Appel, PhD, CO, BOCP, to the role of director of education and clinical support. Appel will develop and enhance Allard’s continuing education programs for the O&P community and its referral sources. She will also provide clinical support and expertise on Allard’s products for O&P practitioners and technicians.
With more than 23 years of O&P experience, Appel is the former director of orthotics and prosthetics for Shriners Hospitals for Children — Shreveport, Louisiana. She has also served as past and current president and education program coordinator for the Louisiana Association of Orthotist and Prosthetist. Appel has also conducted O&P seminars, lectures, and workshops, as well as authored and co-authored several research and journal articles.
