3xP Global, a private equity firm that focuses on environmental, social, and governance principles, invested in Amparo Prosthetics, a manufacturer of direct-fit prosthetic sockets made from remoldable thermoplastic. Amparo devices can be produced in under two hours and can adapt to changes in the residual limb.
“Amparo exemplifies the kind of innovation we seek to solutions that are both scalable and deeply human,” said Rita Branco, venture capital investment partner at 3xP Global. “Their technology not only transforms the speed and quality of prosthetic care but also expands access for people in underserved and conflict-affected regions. By investing in Amparo, we’re supporting a company that aligns perfectly with our vision of driving global impact through purposeful, practical innovation.”
“This investment is a pivotal step in Amparo’s journey to scale globally,” said Frederico Carpinteiro, CEO of Amparo. “With a second manufacturing facility in Portugal, expanded distribution, and continued R&D on breakthrough products like Majicast and the Asha Socket, we are building the infrastructure to deliver sustainable growth and global impact. Most importantly, this funding allows us to advance our mission of making prosthetic care faster, more affordable, and accessible to people with limb loss everywhere.”
