The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) chose an inaugural class of O&P Rising Stars as representatives of the next generation of O&P leaders—clinicians, educators, innovators, and researchers—whose work is advancing O&P patient care and strengthening the profession.
They are:
- Janine Albrecht, MSOP, CPO, product manager, WillowWood
Albrecht was chosen for blending engineering insight, clinical expertise, and a passion for patient care, and for playing a pivotal role in bringing the META Flow foot to market and leading the US launch of the Intuy Knee.
- Cassandra Delgado, MSPO, CPO, clinical director, Coyote Orthotics and Prosthetics, Idaho
Delgado received the award for empowering clinicians, residents, students, and patients, especially in Spanish-speaking communities, by breaking down barriers to care. Her work spans patient care, research, and advocacy.
- Graci Finco, PhD, CPO, assistant professor and director of the Limb Loss and Difference Lab, Texas Christian University
Finco’s work focuses on fall risk, musculoskeletal health, and ethics in technology.
