The 105th American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) National Assembly will be held in San Antonio, Texas, September 28-October 1.
In addition to the in-person assembly, virtual elements are also being planned. There will be general sessions, as well as concurrent breakout tracks, an expo, patient demonstrations, and workshops.
AOPA is accepting presentations in clinical education on orthotic, prosthetic, and pedorthic topics, and business education for the Sam E. Hamontree lecture series. Â In addition, new events this year include: post-mastectomy education, digital O&P care, and a video-based tips and tricks fabrication session.
AOPA will offer a two-day education track for post-mastectomy fitters. The post-mastectomy education workgroup is interested in reviewing a variety of submissions, especially case studies, physiological/emotional care and innovations, and technology.
The digital O&P program will include three categories, data, design, and application.
Deadline for submissions is April 1, and forms for all categories are available on the AOPA website.
