Gruskin
The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) announced two additions to its credentialing leadership team. Matthew Gruskin, MBA, BOCO, BOCPD, has been named credentialing director, and Matt Dickinson, a BOC business development specialist since 2016, accepted a new role as compliance manager. The additions are part of BOC’s succession strategy as longtime BOC staff member Wendy Miller, BOCO, LO, CDME, plans for a reduction in her work schedule and possible early retirement. Miller is transitioning to the role of special assistant to BOC CEO Claudia Zacharias.
Dickinson
Gruskin has nearly a decade of experience in O&P, most recently serving as director of orthotic operations for a chain of more than 20 O&P clinics. As credentialing director, he is responsible for leading the direction, strategy, policies, and day-to-day operations of BOC’s facility accreditation and individual certification programs, with a focus on growth and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. He holds an MBA with a focus in healthcare from Florida International University, post-graduate certificates in O&P from the University of Hartford and a post-graduate certificate from the International School of Pedorthics.
In his new role as compliance manager, Dickinson is responsible for ensuring customer compliance with all accreditation and certification eligibility criteria. This responsibility includes oversight of policies and procedures, review of site surveyor reports, and completion of accreditation site visits. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
