Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics, headquartered in Massachusetts, launched a residency program for O&P professionals to help open new pediatric-focused clinics in areas where they would like to live.
The residency program is open to professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit and with dedication to offering high-quality, continuously improving O&P care to children. It requires a three-year commitment before assuming the leadership role in a new clinic—two years for residency plus one or more years practicing within the Boston O&P clinic system.
Once a new clinic is established, the role will involve educating peers and referral sources in all Boston O&P’s treatment programs, teaching and supervising new clinicians, actively building the practice, and seeking out and developing referral relationships.
