The Orthotics & Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research (the O&P Foundation) appointed Shane Wurdeman, PhD, CP, FAAOP(D), to the Legacy Leadership Council. 
The Legacy Leadership Council is a strategic advisory body composed of former board chairs, executive leaders, and key contributors who provide continuity, institutional knowledge, mentorship, and high-level guidance to the O&P Foundation’s board of directors and executive leadership.
Wurdeman, the chief clinical officer for Hanger Clinic, began his career as an O&P technician before transitioning into clinical practice, research, and executive leadership. He has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts, contributed to multiple book chapters, delivered over 100 conference presentations, and led federally funded research. He is also a seven-time Thranhardt Lecture award recipient and a cofounder of the O&P Foundation.
