The Office of Management and Budget approved a new Advance Beneficiary Notice of Non-coverage (ABN) for three years. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) said that it improved the notice’s readability and design. The updated ABN is effective now and expires March 31, 2029.
Providers may continue to use the now expired version of the ABN until May 12, but then must transition to the latest approved form.
