AAHomecare, an advocacy group for homecare providers, asked government officials to include durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers in the first group of healthcare professionals to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
In letters to officials at the Department of Health and Human Services and leadership at Operation Warp Speed, AAHomecare addressed the close contact that DMEPOS suppliers often have with patients and highlighted the important role the industry plays in meeting the challenges posed by the pandemic.
