Residents of Iceland have ranked Embla Medical as one of the best international companies and the second-best Icelandic company overall for its sustainability efforts.
The index takes the pulse of roughly 15,000 consumers to see which companies they believe are doing the best on sustainability. Embla received an overall score of 83 out of 100 points; anything above 70 equals excellent performance.
The company said the recognition is important because it targets key industries, enabling comparative benchmarking from banking to aluminum. In addition, companies can’t buy their way in, inclusion is determined only by market share and brand familiarity.
