Eqwal, a France-based healthcare and O&P patient care services provider, acquired Schindler Orthopädie, a German designer and manufacturer of prosthetics, orthotics, compression garments, and breast prostheses.
This new scope, including Schindler Orthopädie, will be overseen by Christian Walgenbach, who will support Eqwal’s development in Germany and ensure the operational and strategic continuity of this new region. Walgenbach was recently named Eqwal’s general manager of Germany.
“We are delighted to welcome Schindler Orthopädie to Eqwal. Through this acquisition, we are strengthening our presence in Europe, and in Germany in particular. This is how we fulfill Eqwal’s promise: to provide our patients with the highest possible quality of care,” said Jean-Pierre Mahé, CEO.
Schindler Orthopädie, founded by Heinz-Joachim and Barbara Schindler in 1999, employs around 50 people.
