When it comes to in-house and central fabrication, Carmen Miller, CPO, has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.
During her first 18 months as a practitioner, she worked at a clinic that did most of its fabrication in-house, with clinicians sacrificing patient-care time by spending a large chunk of their day in the lab. There, she grew in her skills, and alongside technicians, was able to help patients who needed an emergency repair or get patients who had come from a long distance fitted in a single day.
