Steve Ehretsman, CEO and founder of Shamrock Prosthetics, Georgia, passed away on March 26. He was 52 years old.
Ehretsman, who had a transtibial amputation due to a work-related trauma, founded the company in 2015. In 2011, he was named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 under 40 list of Rising Business Leaders, and he received the Georgia State Board of Workers Compensation Annual Spirit Award in 2017.
“We are devastated to announce the untimely passing of our founder, mentor, and dear friend. During this difficult time, we appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we grieve this unimaginable loss,” the company wrote on its social media channels.
Shamrock Prosthetics will remain closed this week and will reopen on March 31.
