OneStep, a digital health platform that uses smartphone motion sensors to continuously analyze movement, announced a strategic partnership with the Limb Loss and Preservation Registry (LLPR). OneStep will contribute gait data to the LLPR, offering unique insights into patient mobility to increase understanding of the functional outcomes of prosthetic interventions and rehabilitation efforts, and aid in the enhancement of research, care strategies, and reimbursement protocols for individuals with limb loss.
The LLPR is a key resource for the O&P community, compiling data from over 150 practices and health systems to inform and improve care standards. With the integration of OneStep’s real-time, clinically validated gait data, the registry will gain a comprehensive understanding of how patients with limb loss function in their daily lives. The data will enable researchers and clinicians to assess the effectiveness of prosthetic devices, refine treatment protocols, and develop evidence-based reimbursement strategies.
“We are excited to partner with the Limb Loss and Preservation Registry to contribute our motion intelligence technology. Together, we’re taking important steps towards improving patient outcomes and advancing the O&P profession,” said Patrick Tarnowski, OneStep’s chief commercial officer.
The partnership will be officially announced at the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association’s National Assembly being held September 12-15.
