Navigating the landscape of healthcare policy and Medicare regulations and literature is difficult enough with the legalese that accompanies these types of documents. Add the alphabet soup of acronyms that permeate this lingo, and you may find yourself steeped in murkiness. Deepening the confusion is that too often, one acronym begets another, making it difficult to define one without introducing at least one or two more.
