The Senate passed a bill postponing sequestration, the 2 percent automatic spending cuts to Medicare providers, through November.
The 2011 Budget Control Act instituted annual 2 percent reductions in Medicare payments as part of an effort to control spending, which was first suspended in 2020 as part of COVID-19 relief.
