Geoff Balkman, PhD, CPO, assistant professor in the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine Master of Prosthetics & Orthotics (MPO) program since 2022, accepted a new role as a senior clinical development scientist in the ultrasound division at Philips, a health technology company. 
An alum of the UW Rehabilitation Science doctoral program, Balkman contributed to O&P research and education, including working with Brian Hafner, PhD, at the UW Center on Outcomes Research in Rehabilitation to develop the Orthotic and Prosthetic Outcome Measure-Mobility and teaching evidence-based practice courses in the MPO program.
He taught his final class last fall and transitioned to an affiliate assistant professor role to continue supporting research and education.
