The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) marked its 35th anniversary this month.
The organization began in July 1991 when the board of directors met for its inaugural meeting, officially forming NCOPE to serve as the dedicated accrediting body for O&P education.
In 1999, NCOPE became an incorporated accreditation agency independent from O&P organizations
