The European special medical equipment lobby organization, the European Association of Craft and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (UEAPME), together with several European health care associations, is giving new impetus to lobbying activities. “Our enterprises are increasingly affected by decisions taken in Brussels [one of the European Union’s Parliamentary seats],” said UAEPME Health Care Forum Chairman Jan Ebbink, president of the International Association of Orthotists and Prosthetists (INTERBOR). INTERBOR is the international trade association for prosthetics and orthotics. “Our presence in the relevant European institutions is of the utmost importance for the future of our members,” Ebbink continued.
