It’s ba-a-a-ck-a possible freeze on DME and certain
orthopedics-along with an accreditation provision. The Senate
Finance Committee passed Medicare reform legislation Thursday, June
12, that calls for durable medical equipment providers to become
accredited by an independent accreditation organization, according
to HME NewsWire June 13. The legislation would also freeze CPI
increases for DME and certain orthopedics for seven years.
