Otto Bock Launches Fabrication Services Website

Otto Bock Health Care, Minneapolis, Minnesota, has launched a new Fabrication Services website that makes job status information available at any time from any Internet-enabled computer, the company announced Sept. 5.

"The Fabrication Services network, recently expanded to five locations, is demonstrating a commitment to offering the latest in communication technology to continually improve customer service," the company stated. The new site offers a secure listing of all jobs currently in process, along with the status and estimated delivery date of the device. To maintain security, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality, each visitor can only view the jobs related to his/her facility.

In addition to a technically based solution, a new department has been created and trained to add human oversight to the process, according to Otto Bock. The Fabrication Account Services department consists of seven specialists trained to follow a job throughout the fabrication process to ensure high quality and on-time delivery.

"The new Fabrication Services website reflects our commitment to serving our customers," said Bill Clover, vice president of technical operations at Otto Bock Health Care. "We've also upgraded our quality controls and internal education to ensure that we meet or exceed our customer's expectations."

The new website is located at www.ottobockus.com in the Fabrication Services section. To access the site, customers need to contact their Otto Bock sales representative and request their confidential login information.

Otto Bock Health Care has offered fabrication services for more than four decades, including prosthetic and orthotic fabrication and service, ProContour Custom Cushion production, and Free Walk" KAFO production. Established in 1958, Otto Bock Health Care is the North and South American corporate headquarters of Otto Bock Healthcare, GmbH, based in Duderstadt, Germany. Otto Bock has more than 3,300 employees internationally and produces over 20,000 types of prosthetic and orthotic components, rehabilitation products, and technical plastics.
