In October of 2004, Otto Bock HealthCare, Minneapolis,
Minnesota, celebrated the fifth anniversary of the C-Leg’s®
arrival in the US. Since 1999 more than 5,000 users of all ages
have been fitted with a C-Leg, the company said. The US military
has come to rely on the advanced technology, recognizing the C-Leg
as a standard component for its soldiers returning home from Iraq
as transfemoral amputees.
