Over 100 players signed up for the Barr Foundation’s first
annual charity Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament Fundraiser event,
held March 18 during the co-located annual meetings of the American
Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists and the Association of
Children’s Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (ACPOC) in Orlando, Florida.
Nearly $5,000 was raised for the Barr Foundation to continue its
charitable work of providing prosthetic rehabilitation to amputees
in the US and abroad who otherwise could not afford it. Over 1,000
amputees have been assisted to date by the efforts of the Barr
Foundation, the organization’s sponsors, and Hope Donors.
