Ohio Willow Wood, Mt. Sterling, Ohio, partnered with the Fallen
Heroes Fund, the private organization that funded the construction
of the 60,000-sq.-ft Center for the Intrepid, San Antonio, Texas,
to aid U.S. soldiers recovering from amputation. Ohio Willow Wood
donated a full version of the OMEGA® Tracer® software,
Tracing Hardware, a T-Ring® II, an OMEGA Scanner, and an OMEGA
Carver to the Fallen Heroes Fund to be used at the Center. “These
tools enable practitioners to capture limb shapes as well as enter
measurements for orthotic shapes, manipulate the shapes for
sockets, custom Alpha DESIGN® liners, and various orthotic
devices, and carve foam models for use in fabrication,” according
to Ohio Willow Wood.
