The Amputee Coalition of America praised a decision by the New
Jersey State Merit System Board allowing an amputee to serve as a
firefighter in the Paterson, New Jersey, Fire Department. The Board
decision overturned the city of Paterson’s rejection of Isaac
Feliciano, 34, from joining its fire department.
