Academy to Host Golf Invitational in Scottsdale, AZ

The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) is holding its Second Annual Academy Golf Invitational November 9-10 at the Greyhawk Golf Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Academy announced April 30.

This year the invitational will be limited to the first 32 golfers who register, Bostock said.

"We would also like to give our supporters a chance to participate in the event as a sponsor," he added. "There are nine ways to become a sponsor. All the money raised by sponsorships will be used to continue to promote our profession and to support ongoing Academy awareness programs and research projects."

Sponsor Opportunities include:

Friday's round of golf--$5,000 Saturday's round of golf--$5,000 Friday evening dinner and wine tasting--$4,500 Lunches Friday/Saturday--$1,500 Gift Items for players: Travel bags--$4,000; athletic shoes--$2,500; golf balls--$1,250; and golf hats--$500. "Sponsors will be recognized in the Academy Today, on our website, and through a special e-mail to all our members recognizing them for their support of the profession," Bostock said.

Sponsorships and players are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
