The U.S. Naval Medical Center San Diego in California has
expanded its amputee center to become the military’s first major
amputee center on the West Coast. The expanded facility allows West
Coast patients to be closer to their families and joins the
military’s other main centers, Walter Reed Army Medical Center in
Washington DC and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio,
Texas.
