Amputees from Virginia went to the state capitol
on January 24 to urge area lawmakers to support a bill requiring
that prosthetic care be covered on par with other medical services.
The bill, SB 645, sponsored by Senator Pat Ticer, mandates that
insurance plans offer coverage for prosthetics without caps and
co-pays that restrict access to prescribed devices.
