Fillauer Names Clinical Educator

Fillauer Companies Inc., Chattanooga, Tennessee, announced the addition of John F. Schulte, CPO, FAAOP, as clinical educator. Schulte brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as his long-standing professional reputation as a clinician and educator.

He began his career in O&P in 1971 with the U.S. Army, providing care for veterans from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam at Valley Forge General Hospital and Walter Reed Army Medical Center for eight years. After leaving the service, Schulte went into private practice, managing a successful office for 15 years before merging with a larger corporate entity.

Schulte has served in many managerial roles at the corporate level and was instrumental in the creation and organization of many local and national educational events. In 1999 he was honored as one of the first Academy Fellows for the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy). Schulte has more than 34 years of clinical experience and has presented numerous papers nationally and internationally. He also has made a significant humanitarian contribution with his involvement with efforts in South America and the Middle East, providing treatment to those in need orthotic and prosthetic services.
