The Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative
Contractors (DME MACs) have announced that representatives from
all four DME MAC jurisdictions will attend the 2008 National
Assembly of the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association
(AOPA), September 10-13, Chicago, Illinois. DME MAC outreach and
education representatives will be available to meet directly with
suppliers attending the assembly.
According to National Heritage Insurance Company (NHIC),
representatives of the following DME MACs will be at booth
1309:
* Jurisdiction A: NHIC
* Jurisdiction B: National Government Services
* Jurisdiction C: CIGNA Government Services (CGS)
* Jurisdiction D: Noridian Administrative Services (NAS)
NHIC also listed the following resources and educational materials
as being available at the booth:
* Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
* Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Matters articles
* Enrollment
* Claims Processing
* Appeals
* Fraud and Abuse
* Policy specific information
In addition, a DME MAC update session will be conducted on
accreditation, common electronic data interchange (CEDI),
consolidated billing, and the pricing, data analysis, and coding
(PDAC) contractor transition. The session is listed as The DME MAC
