Elmo “Boots” Wines, Jr., CPO, of Waldorf,
Maryland, passed away on June 12, 2008. He was a
prosthetist/orthotist at J.E. Hanger, Washington DC, for more than
40 years. Dante Molino, CPO, said, “He was a good friend and mentor
to many… who worked there. His advice on a professional level, as
well as a personal level, will long be remembered by many with a
smile. He was a true friend and gentleman.” He was described in
The Independent newspaper as having enjoyed Redskins
football, movies, and politics, and as having assisted in the care
of his mother-in-law during his final years.
