OrthoCare Innovations, headquartered in Washington
DC, received notification on September 29 from the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) that it has been awarded a $750,000
Phase II competitive research award through the Small Business
Innovative Research (SBIR) program. This award is co-funded by the
Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human
Development (NICHD) and the National Center on Minority Health and
Health Disparities (NCMHD). The award was made by the National
Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR), a center within
the National Institute of Child and Human Development (NICHD).
